The organisers of CMBBE2010 look forward to welcoming you to the vibrant
City of Valencia which is located on the Mediterranean coast. Valencia
enjoys a mild climate throughout the year and is famous for ‘paella
valenciana’, Calatrava’s City of Arts and Sciences, the America’s Cup 2009,
a new European Grand Prix circuit and wonderful old quarter, including La
Lonja (silk mart) built in 1498 and Valencia Cathedral which is said to
house the Holy Grail! It is also established on the European art circuit
with galleries containing works by El Greco, Goya and Velázquez. See
http://www.spanish-fiestas.com/valencia/ for further details. The City of
Arts and the old centre of Valencia are 10minutes walking distance from the
Symposium venue, the 5* Westin Hotel Valencia, which is housed in a classic
‘Art Deco’ building, dated 1914.

We have now reviewed many of the abstracts submitted and those accepted can
be located on the main page of www.cmbbe.cf.ac.uk. May we thank all those

Sessions. Slots are still available for ‘poster’ abstract submission and
please note that if accepted that these presentations are also included
within the published proceedings as full length papers. A full list of
topics can be found on the webpage
http://www.cmbbe2010.cf.ac.uk/pages/topics.htm and if you do wish to

programme which will consist of approx 30 plenary presentations, 11 Special
Sessions, 1 Mini-Symposium, a further 15 sessions and 70 Poster

biomedical engineering. A visit has also been arranged to the leading
‘Instituto Biomecanica de Valencia’ and the programme also includes an
opening Reception, Banquet and social events which accompanying persons are
welcome to participate in.

We have over 25 organisations endorsing or sponsoring the meeting and are
