  • Call for Abstracts ESM2010 dynamic load distribution,August 15-17, 2010, Providence, Rhode Island

ESM2010 features two days of scientific research on the latest trends in load distribution measurement. Researchers from all disciplines (basic science, research and development, applied science, clinical etc) and utilizing all technologies of load and pressure measurement are welcome. A third day of activities will be held off the coast of Rhode Island on the beautiful Block Island. In addition, participants may join the group a day early for workshops presented by novel, the conference sponsor and organizer. ESM2010 will be held August 14-17, 2010, in conjunction with The Annual Meeting of the American Society of Biomechanics, August 18-21,2010. For further ASB information visit www.asbweb.org - click on "2010 Annual ASB Meeting".

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations in the field of dynamic load distribution in biomechanics must be submitted by March 31, 2010. Participants will be informed of presentation acceptance by May 1, 2010.

The novel award 2010, with a prize of $5,000, will be presented for the best scientific manuscript in the field of dynamic load distribution in biomechanics. The paper must be entirely original, not published at the time of the meeting in any journal nor submitted for publication to any journal or book. The paper must describe a scientific study including dynamic load distribution in biomechanics. Six of the abstracts submitted will be nominated for the novel award by May 1, 2010. The nominated authors will be requested to send a full length (25 pages maximum, double spaced) paper by June 15, 2010 and will present the paper at the meeting in an approximately 30 minute talk. The review of the papers will be conducted by a prominent panel of experts. The novel award will be presented to the winner at the conference banquet. In addition, awards for the Best Poster and Best Oral Presentation will be presented and each award recipient will receive $500.

The general abstract instruction to authors may be found in the Authors section at www.elsevier.com/locate/clinbiomech.
