The University of Konstanz is one of the nine Universities of Excellence in
the Federal Republic of Germany. The Sport Science program is seeking to
employ an
Academic Research Assistant (PostDoc)
(Salary Scale 13 TV-L)
from 01/04/2010. This full-time position initially runs to 31/12/2012. There
is the option of extending the employment by a further two years (until
31/12/2014). A further extension (until the end of 2020) can only be decided
on at a later stage. A post-doctoral qualification (Habilitation) is
possible in principle. We offer integration into the junior researcher
promotion and excellence initiatives of the University of Konstanz.
Conditions of employment are a university degree in Sport Sciences and/or
Social and Health Sciences. A PhD in Sport Sciences and / or Social and
Health Sciences as well as proof of statistical knowledge and international
publications are expected.
The main task is the work on the BMBF (Federal Ministry for Education and
Research) project on the promotion of longitudinal studies in health
research: Physical fitness and physical activity as determinants of health
development of children and adolescents (Motorik-Modul). The work involves
responsibility for the data set and the management of all statistical
evaluations. Furthermore, international publications as well as the
presentation of the results of the Motorik-Modul are among the central
tasks.
