Dear Researcher,
Materialise celebrates its 20th anniversary in 2010. The company wants to celebrate this by organizing the first edition of the Materialise World Conference in Leuven, Belgium, on April 22-24.
The World Conference includes, amongst others, a new edition of the Medical Innovations Conference, on April 22-23. During two days, representatives of the biomedical industry, as well as clinical and academic speakers from all over the world will share their innovative research results with you.
On Thursday, April 22nd, the Medical Innovations Conference will deal with a wide variety of topics, such as the latest innovations in additive medical technologies, new tendencies in biomechanics, the design of implants, soft tissue simulation, tissue engineering and much more.
The Medical Innovations Conference is endorsed by the European Society of Biomechanics.
On the second day, the Medical Innovations Conference will consist of a complete day of lectures focused on FEA and CFD applications in the biomedical field.
>From structural simulations in the orthopedic and dental fields to optimizing cardiovascular or pulmonary devices using computational fluid dynamics.. This FEA/CFD session has the ambition to discuss the impact of FEA and CFD in healthcare.
And let's not forget: The major FEA manufacturers will be present as well to support this session.
Simultaneously with this FEA session, we organize the 4th edition of the Rapid Implant Manufacturing Forum, in collaboration with EOS. Here we will discuss the latest trends and developments in rapid manufacturing. Topics in the Rapid Implant Manufacturing include the research for and design of custom implants, current development of materials for implants, cutting-edge machine technologies, how to overcome legal issues, and much more.
During the Medical Innovations Conference we will also announce the winners of the Mimics Innovation Awards 2010.
Registration for the conference and participation in the evening event is free! So hurry to register at www.materialise.com/mwc2010, where you can also find more information.
Best regards,
