The School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, through its Division of
Physiotherapy, is the leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate
Physiotherapy education in Queensland, Australia. The School has an
established international reputation for innovative approaches to both
teaching and research excellence and is extremely well positioned to
foster collaborative research and training opportunities.
Individuals with experience and expertise in Physiotherapy are invited
to apply for the positions of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer. Candidates with
expertise in the areas of Neurological or Musculoskeletal physiotherapy
are particularly sought. The successful candidate will be required to
teach in undergraduate and postgraduate entry level physiotherapy
programs, postgraduate discipline area specific masters programs, to
undertake postgraduate research higher degree supervision, undertake
research, and contribute to administrative and other activities
associated with the School. The University of Queensland is a research
intensive university and the Division of Physiotherapy has a strong
research culture.
Candidates should possess a primary qualification in Physiotherapy.
Candidates should also hold a PhD or be nearing completion of a PhD and
be eligible for registration with the Physiotherapists Registration
Board of Queensland. Preference will be given to candidates with
established research records and experience in student and clinical
education. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well
as the ability to interact effectively with staff and students, are
essential. Candidates must have teaching experience in Physiotherapy.
This is a continuing, full time appointment at Academic Level B/C
(Levels of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and
experience). The remuneration package will be in the range of: Academic
Level B $72,388 to $85,960 per annum or Academic Level C $88,675 to
$102,248 per annum, plus employer superannuation contributions of 17%.
