    The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, housed in the
    Faculty of Education at McGill University invites applications for a
    tenure track position at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank,
    effective September 1, 2010.

    We are seeking an individual to complement the research programs of
    the existing faculty members. The successful candidate will have an
    active program of interdisciplinary research, in a research area
    relevant to kinesiology. Currently the department is focused on a
    variety of research areas as they relate to advancing our
    understanding on the determinants of participation in health practices
    while also examining how exercise practices and interventions
    contribute to health promotion, and optimization of quality of life
    and functional ability in healthy individuals as well as in
    populations with chronic disorders and across the lifespan.

    The department is seeking a candidate with a demonstrated research
    track and expertise in exercise and physical activity sciences be they
    from the perspective of neuropsychology, motor control, molecular
    neurobiology, genetics and molecular biology, biomechanics, physical
    activity and health, and/or education and pedagogical approaches for
    the promotion of a healthy lifestyle.

    The candidate will be expected to teach at the graduate and
    undergraduate levels and supervise master's and doctoral students. The
    candidate will be expected to obtain external funding for research.
