Hello,
We have a new 1-year post (with the goal to extend it longer) working as a
Research Fellow with my team. Details are below.
We are searching for person with rather specific talents in modelling the
musculoskeletal system, particularly at the level of whole limbs/organisms
and terrestrial locomotion (i.e. not cell/tissue level modelling, and not
fluid mechanics, etc.). An experienced user of OpenSim would be an ideal
candidate. Researchers working on simulation of human gait biomechanics
would be quite welcome. I *strongly* urge candidates to contact me in
advance and discuss their suitability for the post before applying.
Applications must be done online as detailed below.

a 12-month fellowship post starting around 1st June 2010 with a goal to
apply for external fellowship funding for three to five years.
You would engage in independent and collaborative research within the lab,
especially with Dr. Hutchinson’s growing team, focused on computer modelling
and simulation of vertebrate musculoskeletal function in locomotion and
emphasizing one to two research projects of mutual interest.
You will have a PhD in locomotor biomechanics, engineering, computer science
or related fields. Experience undertaking research in computer modelling
and simulation of musculoskeletal function is essential, as is expertise in
using Matlab software. You should be enthusiastic and highly motivated with
