Research Associate Position - Musculoskeletal Biomechanics
University of Missouri - Kansas City

The Musculoskeletal Biomechanics Research Laboratory (MBRL) at the
University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) is seeking to hire a
Research Associate in musculoskeletal biomechanics. The position is a
full time benefit eligible position with funding for two years. The
primary research function of the lab is development of subject specific
musculoskeletal models that include multi-scale components. The MBRL
co-exists with the Human Motion Lab at UMKC and contains a Vicon motion
capture system, force plates, and wireless EMG. It is expected that the
individual who fills the research associate position will further
develop their academic portfolio by submitting journal articles, writing
grant proposals, and presenting at conferences and seminars.
Qualifications for the position include a PhD in mechanical or
biomedical engineering. Experience in computational biomechanics,
movement simulation, and gait measurement is very desirable. The
University of Missouri is an equal opportunity/affirmative action
employer and strongly encourages applications from women, members of
ethnic minorities, disabled individuals and veterans.

Interested candidates should send a cover letter highlighting your
qualifications and a complete curriculum vitae to Trent Guess, PhD
(guesstr@umkc.edu), Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the
    position is filled.
