A post-doctoral research position is available in the Perceptual-Motor
Dynamics Laboratory (http://homepages.uc.edu/~rileym/pmdlab/) in the
Center for Cognition, Action, and Perception, Department of
Psychology, University of Cincinnati. The post-doctoral researcher
will work closely with laboratory faculty (Dr. Kevin Shockley, Dr.
Michael Richardson, Dr. Michael Riley) and graduate students on
projects related to human perception-action and cognition. Specific
research areas may include interpersonal movement coordination,
interlimb coordination dynamics, postural control, visual perception
of affordances, and haptic perception. The successful candidate will
have a Ph.D. in experimental/cognitive psychology, cognitive science,
kinesiology, or a related field, and will have experience in research
on human perception-action and cognition, preferably from an
ecological, dynamical systems, or embodied/embedded cognition
perspective. A successful candidate will also have demonstrated
technical proficiencies in modeling and analysis methods from
nonlinear dynamics and complexity theory, computer programming, and
motion-capture and eye-tracking technologies. The initial appointment
will be for 12 months with the possibility of renewal. We strongly
