The Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Performance is seeking a
full-time biomechanist/laboratory technician for its' Center for Sport
and Motion Analysis.
QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. or M.S. in biomechanics, mechanical engineering,
bioengineering, or a related field desired. Applicants must also have
programming experience, good communication skills, organized, and good
working relations.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Specific duties will include conducting kinematic and
kinetic research and analyses among subjects ranging from high school to
professional athletes with an emphasis on the overhand athlete.
APPOINTMENT: This is a full-time position with full benefits and a
competitive salary commensurate with level of experience.

begin in April, 2010 if the proper qualified applicant becomes

practice with Major League Baseball and collegiate affiliations. The
institute serves as a one-stop shop for athletes providing access to
biomechanical evaluation, rehabilitation, sport-specific training,
nutrition, sport psychology, and sport-specific skills instruction. TMI
is housed within a 9000 sq ft facility located in the Dallas-Fort Worth
Metroplex and includes the Center for Sport & Motion Analysis, which is
equipped with an 8-camera high-speed motion analysis system. The
institute also has indoor and lighted outdoor training areas as well
cardio, resistance training, and agility areas surrounded by two 70 foot
batting cages.
