    Sports Science/Medical Program Manager

    USA Track & Field (USATF) is seeking an experienced sport scientist with excellent technical, organizational and communication skills to support a variety of sport science and medicine programs conducted by or in cooperation with the USATF Sport Performance Division.
    This is a full-time position, with the individual being based in Indianapolis, the site of USATF's National Office. There will be frequent travel throughout the U.S. associated with this position.

    Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to:
    * Organization and administration of sport science and sport medicine programs conducted by USATF's High Performance Division at various times and locales throughout the U.S.
    * Coordination of USATF and USOC sports scientists in their work at USATF High Performance and athlete development programs.
    * Coordination of scientific testing and filming at training camps, domestic competitions and select international competitions.
    * An ongoing review and interpretation of scientific data and studies carried out by USATF sport scientists, as well as the distribution of such material to USATF athletes, coaches, committees and other scientists.
    * Coordination of USATF sport science and medicine personnel in educational seminars and Coaches Education schools, as well as providing sport science findings for use in USATF Coaches Education schools' curricula.
    * Organization and maintenance of a USATF video data-base of all sport science filming and testing material resulting from USATF sport science and medicine programs.

    Education and Experience:
    * A minimum of a Masters degree in one branch of the sports sciences is required, with a Doctorate being strongly preferred.
    * At least three years practical experience in one sports science discipline is required, with a background in biomechanics being preferred.
    * Experience or applied knowledge in conducting sport science procedures and studies, as well as familiarity with related sports medicine disciplines.
    * Ability to organize scientific meetings, educational seminars and conferences.
    * Experience and/or knowledge of track & field, long distance running and race walking is strongly preferred.
    * The ideal candidate is seen as having the following:
    - Experienced sport scientist
    - Good-excellent video-graphic and computer skills
    - Organizationally and administratively sound
    - Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

    Salary:
    Salary will be commensurate with degree level, experience in related sport science fields and familiarity with track & field, long distance running and race walking.
