  • very high shear stress device

    Dear Biomch-L subscibers,

I am looking for advice on how to expose cultured cells to very high shear stresses (50 Pa or higher) using a flow chamber or a microfluidic system.
The problem with generating such a high shear stress is that it requires significant pressure (around 10 PSI), which can lead to problems with leaks (if the flow system connections are not locked).

Has anybody tested a similar device? I would be most appreciative if anyone can provide advice on this topic.

    thanks in advance,
