10th Annual New Technology in Upper Extremity Surgery: The Cutting Edge together with the 7th Triennial International Hand and Wrist Biomechanics Symposium
June 20-23, 2010, Cleveland, Ohio
This year, the 10th Annual New Technology in Upper Extremity Surgery: The Cutting Edge meeting will be held together with the 7th Triennial International Hand and Wrist Biomechanics Symposium during June 20-23, 2010, in Cleveland, Ohio.
The Annual New Technology in Upper Extremity Surgery represents an on-going commitment to provide an introduction to the latest advances in the care and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders of the hand and wrist for the practicing orthopaedic surgeon, orthopaedic residents and fellows, and physical and occupational therapists. The combination of offering exposure to live surgical cases, hands-on skills workshops, didactic lectures and case presentation discussions, with direct faculty / participant interaction provides an ideal platform for the dissemination of new techniques designed to enhance patient care through a thoughtful educational experience.
The Triennial International Hand and Wrist Biomechanics symposia have provided a forum for global scientific exchange among surgeons, therapists, and researchers who are interested in hand and wrist biomechanics and its clinical applications. The symposium was initiated in 1992 and has taken place in Brussels (Belgium, 1992), San Francisco (USA, 1995), Minneapolis (USA, 1998), Izmir (Turkey, 2001), Syracuse (USA, 2004), and Tainan (Taiwan, 2007).
We encourage submission of abstracts in all areas of hand/wrist biomechanics related to anatomy, surgery, rehabilitation, engineering, biology, neurophysiology, ergonomics, and other disciplines. An abstract is composed of a title, author(s), affiliation(s), e-mail address of the corresponding author, an underlined presenting author, and a text body. The text is limited to 350 words, which should include Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion/Conclusion. Abstracts may be accepted for platform or poster presentation. Accepted abstracts will be included in the conference proceedings. The deadline for abstract submission is March 15, 2010.
