Business Development Manager (M / F)
who is eager to reach the commercial targets of the company, build business
relations and identify and expand new business opportunities.
Medis Specials develops and brings to the market software applications for
research purposes in close collaboration with its scientific partners at the
Leiden University Medical Center. In the field of orthopaedics, Medis Specials is
world-leading with its software for Roentgen Stereophoto-grammetric Analysis
(RSA). ClinFact, a Medis Specials company, is a specialized CRO organization
that provides clinical trial services using the scientific software applications of
Medis Specials. It focuses on high-expertise orthopaedic and cardiac clinical
trials.
As a business development manager at Medis Specials and ClinFact, you will be
able to show your commercial drive and talent in an international business
environment that has close links with the medical academic world. The
atmosphere is informal, with emphasis on personal development and continuous
improvement of team achievements.
Responsible for:
• Managing a team that consists of four regular members and three staff
members on call
• Defining the long term policy for both organizations
• Creating the annual business plan
• Realizing the commercial targets
• Maintaining and expanding the existing business network
• Ensuring high-quality level of products and services
Candidate Profile
Education and Experience
• MSc degree and preferably PhD degree in biomedical sciences or a related
field
• Experience in a (managerial) sales position in the orthopaedic field
• CRO business knowledge and keen interest in research
• Willing to travel frequently
Personal Skills
• Fluent in English and Dutch, a third language is an asset
• Managerial and coaching skills
• Able to anticipate developments and implement them in new policies
• Persuasiveness
• Result-driven attitude
• Good eye for detail
• Strong networking skills
