Biomechanics Position in Department of Physical Therapy
The University of Evansville seeks an individual with background in
biomechanics for a twelve month position as director of the Dunigan Movement
Analysis Laboratory at the rank of assistant professor. Housed in an
established Doctor of Physical Therapy program, the Dunigan Movement
Analysis Laboratory supports teaching as well as intra- and extramural
collaboration in research; a variety of laboratory and clinical projects are
currently underway. The laboratory houses two Bertec force platforms (40 x
80 cm), 8 VICON MX series cameras, 16 channels of tethered EMG, 16 channels
of telemetered EMG, a KinCom isokinetic dynamometer, and a Bertec
instrumented treadmill. Teaching load for the position may include
biomechanics, kinesiology, musculosketal content, and gross anatomy.
Earned academic doctoral degree required. PhD in biomechanics or
kinesiology and an established research agenda are preferred.
