    Special Sessions / Tutorials / Workshops

    Please take notice that the ICABB-2010 is being Technical Sponsored by:
    IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS)
    IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (RAS)
    International Federation of Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE)
    Applied Bionics and Biomechanics


    Special Sessions / Tutorials /Workshops will constitute an important component
    of the ICABB-2010 and will provide relevant contributions to the attendees,
    academy members, and students.

    The ICABB-2010 Organizing Committee is requesting novel topics that will
    appeal to the attendees, Academy members, and students. Please consider
    organizing a Special Session, and/or an entire or half day Tutorial/Workshop
    session. The Proposals should be sent via email to the address below by
    May 21, 2010, according to the following format.

    Proposal Format:
    1. Title.
    2. Abstract (up to 300 words; and indicate if entire or half day event).
    3. Organizers (names, complete address, telephone, fax, and email address).
    4. List of Topics.
    5. Description, Motivation and Objectives (up to 500 words).
    6. Theoretical/Practical Innovations.
    7. Confirmed Presenters and corresponding affiliations.

    Please consider that half day events will be allocated 3 hours (excluding a break
    of 20 to 30 mins). Full day events will be allocated 6 hours, divided equally in
    two 3 hours periods; one period in the morning and another one in the afternoon
    (each period excluding a break of 20 to 30 mins). Also, for half day Special
    Sessions, please consider 6 to 8 presenters.

    The main criteria for the Proposals selection are: significance, innovation,
    perceived impact, expected interest. Also, notice that the Organizing Committee
    is encouraging those Proposals that will attract industry members. Also notice that
    all reviews and communication interactions will be dealt with via email.
