The Faculty of Health Sciences at Australian Catholic University is seeking a Lecturer in Biomechanics located at the McAuley Campus at Banyo in Brisbane. The successful applicant will make a valuable contribution to the School's teaching of a core area in the Bachelor of Exercise Science program and play a key role in the establishment and development of Biomechanics on the Banyo campus. In addition, a new Biomechanics laboratory is being constructed on campus (due July 2010) and the appointee will be expected to take an important role in setting up the operations of this laboratory.
To be successful in this role you will hold a PhD in an area of Biomechanics relevant to Exercise Science and have experience teaching at tertiary level, preferably including Lecturer in Charge experience. In addition, it is expected that you will have research experience and the ability to provide a contribution to the publication performance of the School. Some teaching experience in anatomy, motor development, motor control, skill acquisition or research methods would be highly desirable.
