Subject: [BIOMCH-L] Definition of gait analysis
Dear all,
we are currently working on a consensus document about clinical gait
analysis.
We would like to know your opinion (references welcome!) about the
definition of "gait analysis", with particular attention to the aspects
relevant to the clinic.
Regards,

I would say that clinical would indicate that there is some kind of
pathology or dysfunction that is of concern to the patient that we are
assessing with a view to resolution. A clinical gait analysis could
therefore be defined as using optimal evaluation techniques that fulfill the
objective of discovering what it is in the gait that can be changed to
rectify the specific problem.
