  • Fracture Analysis in Bone

    Dear all,
It is Hadi Taghizadeh, M.Sc student of Biomechanical Engineering in
Amirkabir University of Technology in Iran. My field of research is
Fracture analysis of compact bone in micro scale. I faced some
questions during the project. As there are numerous Biomechanics
experts in BIOMCH-L, I'll be so thankful if someone can give me some
    answers on this matter:
How I can model microscale of bone? In other words, how I can take
into account the effect of bone microscale in my model? As you know
regular models assume a cylinder in the center of a cube, describing
haversian system surrounded in interstitial tissue. But this
assumption is not correct as we do not distinguish between a cement
hardened by steel shafts and micro scale of osteonal bone!!
Thanks for your attention in advance.
