Job Description: The Department of Biomechanics at the Hospital for Special Surgery, New York, has immediate opening(s) for Research Engineer(s). The position involves design and implementation of biomechanical experiments in collaboration with research scientists, biomechanical engineers, and orthopaedic surgeons in the fields of arthroplasty, trauma, joint kinematics, and bone & soft tissue mechanics. The position requires the ability to: work both independently and as a member of a team; manage all aspects of experimental projects, from inception through to manuscript writing; maintain lab equipment and facilities; and perform data reduction and basic statistical analyses.
Qualifications: Minimum of BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with biomechanical, biomedical, or related coursework
Salary is compensatory with experience.
