*ASSISTANT PROFESSOR in REHABILITATION ROBOTICS and PHYSICAL THERAPY*

The Department of Physical Therapy and Human Movement Sciences (DPTHMS),
Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine invites applicants
for a new full-time, 12-month appointment on the non-tenure clinical
scholar track in the area of rehabilitation robotics and physical
therapy. The applicant that will be chosen for this position will be on
a three year contract, and once promoted to full professor, a six year
contract is available, renewal contingent on performance. Salary is
negotiable.
Ideal applicants will have a clinical doctorate in physical therapy and
should have completed post-doctoral research training in rehabilitation
robotics in both basic science and clinical applications. Applicants
should demonstrate a successful record of research, reflected in
extramural grant acquisition and collaboration and publication in high
quality peer-reviewed journals. Experience in research with human
subjects with brain injury is required in addition to significant
exposure to the field of rehabilitation robotics in the context of
conceptualization, development, testing, and implementation. It is
anticipated that this faculty member will contribute to the department
and the professional education program through research, teaching,
supervision of faculty sponsored research, student advising and
department committee responsibilities. Collaborations with faculty in
the Departments of PTHMS, Biomedical and Mechanical Engineering as well
as in our interdepartmental neuroscience program are available and will
be strongly encouraged.
