Applications are now being solicited from highly motivated Physical
Therapist Researchers to provide support for a major injury prevention
project by the Center for Physical Therapy Research (CPTR). The
available positions are for two (2) Research Assistants, one Study
Coordinator and one Data Manager to work Full Time in direct support of
the Principal Investigators in project and data management. The project
objective is to develop a technology solution to the problem of injury
prevention in the military, the execution of a major research project
evaluating the solution, developing appropriate algorithms and
disseminating findings. The project duration is three years.

the last twelve years with the Department of Homeland Security, the
Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Health and Human

Essential Duties:
-Project and data management
-Graduate student supervision
-Research design
-Presentation of findings to diverse audiences with duty at Fort Sam
Houston, TX and University of Evansville, IN.
Eligibility Requirements:
Research Assistant/Physical Therapist (performance location at Madigan
Army Medical Center, Takoma, WA)
-Licensed Physical Therapist (US only)
-Current CPR certification
-Completed CITI training for protection of research subjects and HIPAA
trainings (must be acceptable to Brooks IRB)
-Versed in Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
Study Coordinator/Physical Therapist (performance location at Ft. Sam
Houston, San Antonio, TX)
-Licensed Physical Therapist preferred but will accept Master in
Exercise Physiology
-Minimum 2 years' experience in execution of peer reviewed research
including projects with more than 100 enrolled subjects
-Research background capable of performing essential duties listed above
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
Data Manager/Physical Therapist (performance location at University of
Evansville, Evansville, IN)
-Education same as Study Coordinator (above) but must be licensed in
Indiana (if PT)
-Ability to coordinate with doctoral level consultant at University of
Evansville and Duke University.
-Versed in Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS)
-Excellent communication and organizational skills
