The Discipline of Physiology in the School of Medical Sciences is recruiting two
academic staff members (both tenurable level B or C; equivalent to Assistant and Associate Professor at U.S. Institutions).
Research strengths within the discipline include neurophysiology (e.g. the neural control of human movement) and cardiovascular physiology.

Discipline of Physiology, School of Medical Sciences

The Discipline of Physiology is seeking to make two tenurable
appointments at the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer level to teach undergraduate
and postgraduate students in science/health science and medicine, and
to pursue internationally competitive research programs. Preference will
be given to candidates whose research interests complement current
Discipline strengths, and who have broad teaching interests across
molecular, cellular and systems physiology. You should have a completed
PhD or equivalent, clear potential for developing a research program
competitive for external funding (Level B), or an established independent
research program with demonstrated success in securing national and/or
international grant funding as chief investigator (Level C).
These two continuing positions are available from 1 January 2011.
Salary: (Level B) $75,425 - $89,569 per annum
(Level C) $92,391 - $106,539 per annum
