    Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering

    The Department of Chemical & Biomedical Engineering of the Fenn
    College of Engineering at Cleveland State University invites
    applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor
    level for Fall 2011. This position is to support the recent strategic
    expansion of our Biomedical Engineering Program. Candidates with
    expertise and research interests in any area of Biomedical Engineering
    are encouraged to apply, however, candidates that can complement our
    current research strengths, including Tissue Engineering, Medical
    Device Design, Medical Imaging, Biomaterials, or Biomechanics, and
    strengthen existing collaborations with the Cleveland Clinic and the
    CSU Center for Gene Regulation in Health and Disease are of particular
    interest. Candidates must hold a Doctoral Degree and demonstrate the
    potential for excellence in teaching and research. The successful
    candidate will be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate
    engineering courses, supervise graduate student research, and
    establish an independent, externally funded research program.

    curriculum vitae (including names of at least three professional
    references), a statement of teaching interests, and a research plan to
    Chair, Faculty Search Committee, Department of Chemical & Biomedical

    begin November 1.

    The Department offers Biomedical Engineering degrees at the Masters
    level and Doctoral level through a joint program with the Lerner
    Research Institute of the Cleveland Clinic. In addition to the
    graduate degrees in Biomedical Engineering, the Department also offers
    Bachelors, Masters and Doctoral degrees in Chemical Engineering. For

    Hiring is contingent on maintaining existing levels of funding from
    the state. Women and members of under-represented minority groups in
    engineering are especially encouraged to apply.
