We are seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellowship in lower limb
prosthetics at the Northwestern University Prosthetics-Orthotics Center.
Applicants should have expertise in the following areas: solid mechanics,

be expected to apply this knowledge to prosthetic socket development and
evaluation , particularly as these objectives relate to biomechanics of
human walking. A PhD in mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering,
materials science or relevant engineering discipline is expected. Prior
post-doctoral research experience will be viewed favorably. Applicants must
be self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
