    Dear Biomech-List members,

    The Robotic Biomechanics Sport & Health research group of the P-Prime
    Institute UPR 3346 (CNRS-Université de Poitiers-ENSMA) is pleased to
    welcome you to a symposium entitled SMS 2011 — Sport Measure Simulation.

    SMS 2011 will be in Poitiers, France, 31st May and 1st June 2011.
    SMS 2011 is organised under the aegis of the Société de Biomécanique.

    THEMES
    Papers in all topics in the field of Sport Biomechanics will be
    considered for oral presentation. We especially solicit papers in the
    following areas of interest :

    * Modelisation and Simulation,
    * Instrumentation,
    * Equipment,
    * Performance sports testing,
    * Musculoskeletal mechanics,
    * Injury / Rehabilitation,
    * Fluid mechanics.

    Sports biomechanics and motor control research group — School of sport
    and exercise sciences, Loughborough University, UK.

    - Pr Katja MOMBAUR
    Interdiciplinary center for scientific computing — University of
    Heidelberg, Germany.

    - Pr John RASMUSSEN
    The AnyBody group — Deptartement of mechanical and manufacturing
    engineering, Aalborg University, Denmark.

    - A/Pr Richard SMITH
    Biomechanics research team — The University of Sydney, Australia.

    OFFICIAL LANGUAGE
    The official language of this symposium is French. However, oral
    presentations in English will be accepted, the main objectif of the
    congress being to stimulate discussion on sport biomechanics in a
    friendly environment.

    ABSTRACTS
    * Abstract can be in French or English,
    * Abstract must be about 400 words long with one figure,
    * Abstract must be contained in a A4 page,
    * Abstract must be submitted by email in pdf format to the secretary
    (sms2011[at]ml.univ-poitiers.fr) before the 6th of January 2011.

    The abstacts will be review by the Scientific Review Board. Notification
    of acceptance will be send the 3rd of February 2011.

    ARTICLES
    * The final article can be in French or English,
    * The final article will be 3 to 4 pages long. Specific instructions can
    be found on the website,
    * The final article will be send by email to the secretary
    (sms2011[at]ml.univ-poitiers.fr) before the 7th of April 2011.

    All the Articles will be printed in a Book with an ISBN number.
