The Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine invites applications for an engineering position in a research laboratory.  The MSU Center for Orthopedic Research specializes in in-vivo and in-vitro biomechanics research with an emphasis on the application of systems science to the studies of low back and neck pain treatment, mechanisms of manipulative medicine, motor control, and the efficacy of orthopedic devices.  A successful applicant will support all technical aspects of lab activities, including custom equipment design, construction, and maintenance.  The preference will be given to individuals with skills in electronics, machining, computer programming, and troubleshooting of the electromechanical devices.  Knowledge of systems controls and robotics will be an asset.  The applicants should posses a Bachelor or Masters degree in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent).  Salary range is $45,000 - 60,000 and will commensurate with experience.
