The nearest international airport is Amsterdam Airport "Schiphol".
Many airlines fly directly from most countries to Amsterdam. At the
airport, a congress information desk will be open from Friday, July 8,
until Monday, July 11, 12:00 noon. This desk will be located in the
Arrival Hall of Terminal West. At the desk, information can be
obtained, among others, on traveling to down-town Amsterdam and to the
Vrije Universiteit, the location of your hotel and public transport.
The railway station at Schiphol gives access to an extensive railroad
network. The railways station closest to the Vrije Universiteit is
"Amsterdam Zuid WTC", 6 minutes from Schiphol, trains are departing
every 15 minutes from Schiphol. Amsterdam Central Station ("Amsterdam
CS") is 17 minutes from Schiphol, trains are departing every 15
    minutes.
At Amsterdam CS, trains from continental Europe arrive. Public
transport (Metro line 51) will take approximately 20 minutes to get to
the Vrije Universiteit, Metro-station "De Boelelaan".
Tickets and information on public transport are available at an office
just outside the main building of the railway station of Amsterdam CS.
At the congress registration desk, one- to six-day tickets for the
Amsterdam public transport will be sold at reduced rates (not valid
    for railroad travel).
The Vrije Universiteit is directly accessible from the A10 motor way,
which connects to the A1, A2 and A4 motor ways.
