    PROFESSIONAL APPOINTMENT
    THE UNIVERSITY OF WESTERN AUSTRALIA
    DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN MOVEMENT


    LECTURER LEVEL B

    Applications are invited for appointment to the above position in the
    Department of Human Movement. The position is offered in the first
    instance on a 3 year fixed-term [renewable] basis but it is expected that,
    subject to satisfactory performance, the successful applicant will
    establish tenure. The appointee should hold a PhD or equivalent
    qualification and be able to demonstrate a very strong computer background
    [biomechanical modelling and computer simulation] and an interest in
    analysis of gait. The ability to attract research grants and be capable
    of supervision of master's and PhD students will also be an advantage.
    While it would be expected that the appointee will contribute to the
    Department's teaching, the major emphasis in this position would require
    the establishment and running of a gait laboratory and involvement in
    other movement analysis projects. The successful applicant would also be
    expected to cooperate with the other biomechanists on staff with reference
    to computer projects. Further information may be obtained from the Head

    SALARY RANGE: Lecturer Level B $41,574 - $49,370 p.a.
