Just to add to the booklist on blood flow in arteries etc.
1) Fluid Mechanics of Large Blood Vessels (1980), Pedley, T.J.,
Cambridge University Press. A highly mathematical treatment of how
blood flows through different diameters of tubes with/without bends
and bifurcations/junctions, with some relevance to atherogenesis.
2) The Mechanics of the Circulation (1978), Caro, C., Pedley, T.J,
Schroter, R.C. and Seed, W.A., Oxford University Press. A more
qualitative description but still comprehensive, without the
equations. Again the relevance to atherogenesis is noted.
