Dear Colleagues,
I am writing on behalf of an Occupational Therapy student who is
completing a literature review course as part of her final year.
Her topic is "The use of pressure sensing technology in prescription
seating systems for quadriplegics"
She has asked me to pose several questions related to this topic and
I would appreciate it if replies could be sent to:

1. What is the current thinking regarding threshold ischial pressures
in sitting versus capillary pressure thresholds?
2. Who is using pressure sensing devices to assist seating prescription?
What types of systems are currently being used? What are the advantages
and disadvantages of such devices as applied to seating prescription?
3. How should we decide on the most appropriate device for seating
prescription for spinal cord injured clients?
Finally, we would welcome any personal experiences or insights from our
learned readers.
