  • Physics of Sport Conference

    22nd November 1994
    Dear Colleague,

Please find below the programme for a one day meeting I am
organising as part of the British Institute of Physics Annual Congress in
March 1995. My own area of research is in the mechanics of golf ball
impacts. I would also like to organise a Conference in 1996 on The
Engineering of Sport, the idea being that there isn't a forum for
researchers like myself to publish Engineering type work on the subject of
sport. Quite often the work lies somewhere between biomechanics and
engineering and as such is not publishable in either. If anyone is
interested in the meeting in 1995 or would like to input ideas etc for the
conference in 1996 I would love to hear from them.
