ORTHOPAEDIC AND SPORT-MEDICINE RESEARCHER

A post-doctoral researcher is sought to join the Orthopaedic and Sport
Medicine Research Group at the University Hospital of the University of
Western Ontario, London, Ontario. The Research Associate will head research
into the Biological and Biochemical aspects of soft-tissue musculoskeletal
problems. Current research, in this area, focuses on soft-tissue allografts,
ligament augmentation devices, and soft-tissue pathologies. Collaborative
work will be conducted with the well-established mechanical, electronic,
materials testing, and computing areas of the Research Group.
The successful individual will have a PhD in a related discipline and will
have expertise/interests in: biochemistry; tissue typing; imaging (CT, MRI
etc.); animal and human studies; epidemiology/biostatistics; use of computing
software; and will have excellent management and communication skills in
English. Expertise in scientific publications, presentations and grant-
writing will be essential to the long-term success of this position.
