Although this may be a touch into Exercise Physiology rather than Biomech,
i'll ask the question, nonetheless.
Does anyone know of any references of standardized aerobic capacity tests
besides the Ahstrand Rhyming Cycle ergometer? We are currently using the
Ahstrand in our Functional Capacity Evaluations, though I believe it to be
an imperfect measure of aerobic capacity due to specificity of sport
(work). Are there any correction factors available for
undertrained/sedentary subjects?
