  • Bone machining

We are currently working on the dynamic behavior of the human cortical bone.
In order to assess it's mechanical characteristics, we planed to carry out
experimental tests in tension and compression using bone specimens (test
tubes). I'm looking forward any pieces of information regarding the
    preparation of those samples, particularly:
    - The cutting processes that can be used
    - The geometry of the samples
    - The preservation modes before, during and after the machining.
    - The damages caused to the bone by the machining and the way
    those damages can be assessed

    Thank you in advance.
