1995 INJURIES IN FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL COURSE

This two-day course is designed to acquaint athletic
trainers, biomechanists, coaches, sports
physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, physiologist,
therapists, and any others who work with
athletes in football and basketball, with the current
concepts of assessment, treatment and
functional rehabilitation of the medical and
musculoskeletal problems in the football and
basketball player. This will be accomplished through
the use of:

Didactic Sessions Utilizing Slides and Videotapes:
1) prevention of injury in football and basketball
2) injuries specific to the football and basketball
player
3) non-operative and operative treatment of football
and basketball injuries
4) rehabilitation of the injured football and
basketball player
5) strength and conditioning programs for the
football and basketball player
6) the role of biomechanics in the prevention,
treatment and rehabilitation of injury to the
football and basketball player
7) general sports medicine problems specific to the
football and basketball player
