MIDWEST AMERICAN COLLEGE OF
SPORTS MEDICINE ANNUAL MEETING
The 1995 Midwest ACSM meeting will be held October 26,
27, and 28 at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles Illinois. In the
past there has been relatively little involvement by those in
biomechanics at this meeting. The organizing committee of the
conference would like to change this. If there is sufficient interest,
they will provide specific blocks of time within the program for
biomechanics free communication papers/symposia/workshops, etc.
In addition to providing an excellent opportunity for dialogue with
others in the exercise science field, a major advantage of the
conference is the location (easy driving distance for many potential
participants). Beyond this, the conference has always provided an
excellent opportunity for students, as well as faculty, to present their
research. I have been asked to survey the biomch-l group to get some
sense of the number of individuals that might be interested in
attending. Thus, if you (and/or colleagues or students) would be
interested in attending, please indicate by replying to this message.
Also, indicate if you would be interested in being a presenter (free
communication, poster, etc.). Additional information on the
conference will be provided in a future posting.
