  • Exercise Science Graduate Admission

    The Department of Physical Eduation (soon to be Department of Exercise
    Science) at the University of California - Davis is currently accepting
    applications for the Master of Science degree program in Exercise Science
    with an emphasis on Biomechanics. The degree requirements are 30 total
    units, 20 at the graduate level. A thesis is required. Students wishing
    to continue their education beyond the M.S. degree are encouraged to do so
    in the Ph.D program offered through the Biomedical Engineering Graduate
    Research interests from faculty within the department are
    musculoskeletal modeling, computer simulation of multi-joint and
    multi-muscle systems, biomechanical analysis of gait and running, injury
    prevention, basic muscle mechanics and optimization of gross human
    movement. Close interactions exist with other faculty from Engineering,
    Physiology, Vet. Medicine and the Medical School. Students are encourage
    to conduct cross-disciplinary research. Teaching Assistantship positions
    are available for the 1995-1996 academic year. For more information about
