A colleague and I are currently finishing an introductory text on "The
scientific aspects of human movement". The book contains chapters on
most of the exercise sciences addressed in most undergrad programs.
We are including both "people" and "research" highlights for each chap
to give the reader a brief intro to individuals that have made a
significant contribution to a field as well as "classic" experiments.
For example, we have considered Franklin Henry and the original Fitts
work as highlights for the motor learning/control chap. My reason for
send this note is to gather additional ideas for these highlights for:
biomechanics, motor development, motor learn/control, anatomical kine,
measurement chaps. Please forward ideas to E104Dw@TAMVM1.TAMU.EDU
