Due to all of the recent discussion on splines there may be interest
in a new book from CRC Press called "Handbook on Splines for the
User", by Eugene V. Shikin, Moscow State University, and Alexander I.
Plis, Moscow Power Engineering Institute. ISBN 0-8493-9404-X. The advertisement just
came across my desk this morning.
The book contains discussions on "interpolating and smoothing cubic
and bicubic splines of all classes". There are also programs
written in FORTRAN and C.
