Hello fellow biomechanists,
I am a graduate student looking for some data on the bench
press. More specifically, I am looking at the angle of the hip flexors
and how they adjust the lower lumbar curvature to prevent injuries. It
is commonly stated that arching the lower back will cause injuries in
this lift but I have not found any hard evidence to back up the claims.
If anyone knows of any articles or people working in the field I would
really appreciate the info (I have already searched medline, sports
discus, etc.).
Thanks in advance,
Rick Roberts
