  • Motion capture systems - which one is best ?

    Dear all,

I am working in the field of biomechanics and anthropometry. In a research
study I want to collect data of hand/arm movements at an experimental workplace.
Yet we have used the SELSPOT and for one study we lent a VICON, which's results
were very good. For my experiment I intent to use a non-wired system (VICON,
Mac-Reflex, PEAK, Ariel, Northern Digital, etc.).
My problem is, that yet I do not know which system to use for motion capture.
The system should have maximum accuracy and enable the use of up to 15 markers.
The time of a single experiment will be approximately 5 minutes. So far I think
VICON will give the most accurate results.

The question, which might be of general interest, too, is:

WHICH OPTICAL SYSTEM IS THE BEST FOR MOTION CAPTURE ?

I would be happy if someone could help me. Of course, I will send a summary of
    the responses to BIOMCH-L.

    Thanks,
