    The Cooper Institute for Aerobics Research (CIAR) is organizing and
    hosting a scientific congress prior to the Atlanta Olympic games in
    1996. The meeting will be organized under the auspices of the
    International Council of Sport Science and Physical Education
    (ICSSPE), a scientific organization that has sponsored similar
    congresses since 1964. The Congress will be under the patronage of the
    International Olympic Committee (IOC) and His Excellency Juan A.
    Samaranch, and UNESCO. Mr. Samaranch will attend the meeting and will
    give an opening address to the delegates.=20

    SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM INFORMATION
    =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3 D=3D=
    =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D =20
    The 1996 International Pre-Olympic Scientific Congress will
    present an interdisciplinary program with Plenary Award Lectures
    for lifetime achievement in physical activity, sport, and health;
    invited speakers; and concurrent symposia presented by the world's
    foremost authorities in exercise science and sports medicine.
    Additional papers representing the highest levels of scientific
    excellence in the fields of physical activity, sport, and health
    will be presented in poster format by scientists from around the
    world. The official language of the Congress will be English,
    although Plenary Sessions and other major lectures will be
    translated into Spanish. Translation to other languages will be
    considered based on need.
