  • Cardiovascular Bioengineering Graduate Student Fellowship

The University of Pittsburgh was awarded a Special
Opportunities Award from the Whitaker Foundation for the
development of a certificate program in Clinical Cardiovascular
Bioengineering. A graduate student fellowship exists as a
result of this award. We are currently seeking a highly
motivated graduate student with documented interest in
CARDIOVASCULAR BIOENGINEERING. Specific interests are the
effects of physiologic forces on vascular cells and intact
blood vessels, bioengineering of vascular grafts,
and biomechanical characterization of aortic aneurysms.
Fellows would typically enroll in the Bioengineering Program at
the University of Pittsburgh, which awards both MS and PhD
degrees, but could also enroll in a traditional engineering
    department (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).
