    The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Center for
    Biomedical Engineering (CBE) at the CITY COLLEGE OF NEW
    YORK, invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at
    Assistant or Associate Professorship level in the area of Biomechanical
    engineering, either in biomaterials or bio-mechanical-electrical systems.
    Applicants should have a Ph.D. Degree (at the time of appointment) in
    either Biomedical engineering, in Mechanical engineering or a closely
    related field. Applicants must be committed to excellence in teaching
    both at the undergraduate and graduate level, must be capable of
    establishing externally funded research of high quality and forging new
    research initiatives with our CBE partners, The Hospital for Special
    Surgery and Hospital for Joint Diseases. There must be a proven ability
    to publish the results of research or professional activities and a promise
    for exceptional future work. The candidates should also have an interest
    in urban education and be able to teach both Mechanical engineering and
    Biomedical engineering courses, particularly design oriented courses.
    Industrial experience is desired, but not required.
