  • Force/Length/Velocity Relationships for Muscle

    Dear Biomch-l Readers,

I have just been putting together a lecture on muscle mechanics including
Hill's equation etc. In David Winter's book, he presents a nice 3D
surface showing the variation of muscle force as a function of both
length and vleocity. However, he does not state the source of a
mathematical force -length relationship. Although the shape of the
surface looks right, I would like to be able to reconstruct it
    mathematically.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to the equation for force/length??
