Research Assistant
Biomechanical Engineer
A position with the Musculoskeletal Research Laboratory is available for a
research engineer at the M.S. or B.S. level. The MRL is located within the
Department of Orthopaedics at the Hershey Medical Center Campus of the
Pennsylvania State University. Primary responsibilities will be to conduct
mechanical tests aimed at material/tissue characterization as well as
implant/construct evaluation. Prior experience operating a computer
controlled servohydraulic mechanical testing machine strongly preferred.
Experience or training in orthopaedic solid biomechanics valuable. The
position is initially guaranteed for two years and an extend appointment is
expected. Full benefits are included and salary will be based on
training and experience.
