KRUG Life Sciences Inc. currently has an opening for a Biomechanist. The
opening is in support of the Human Movement and Coordination Laboratory at NASA
Johnson Space Center and requires a mimimum of a Bachelors degree in
Biomechanics/Bioengineering/Motor Control. A Masters degree would be preferred.
The incumbent will generally be involved with instrumentation, collection, and
analysis of kinetic & Kinematic data pertaining to postural, locomotor, & manual
control in relation to issues concerning performance during and after Space
flight. Consequently applicants should have extensive experience with state of
the art instrumentation for kinetic and kinematic measurement of human
performance.

The primary responsiblility of the incumbent will be support of an investigation
of postural and manual control during simulated and actual on-orbit operations
outside of the Spacecraft. This particular project entails researach using two
simulator facilites at Johnson Space Center and will require the incumbent to
participate in report writing, experimental design, data collection, analysis,
and mathematical modeling of performance characteristics. Experience withMatlab
would be advantageous.

The incumbent must be physically able to assemble/disassemble and move equipment
components up to 25kg: able to physically operate computers; and be available to
travel to other US and overseas locations for data collection. Ability to
acquire CPR certification will also be necessary.
