DESCRIPTION
Writes, tests, debugs and documents applications programs. Coordinates the
installation of system upgrades and enhancements. Schedules regular and
special production jobs and provides support for the production cycle.
Monitors production runs and resolves production problems. Develops complete
and accurate documentation for newly developed computer programs and for
modifications to existing programs. Develops time estimates for each phase
of a project. Manages and maintains the current working computer system and
monitors system performance. Meets with users to evaluate their computing
needs, develops detailed specifications for system development and
enhancement. Creates test data and validates program logic. Trains
departmental staff in the use of application software and other related
responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or
related field. Three years of information technology experience.
OTHER SKILLS
Should be able to program in at least one of the following platforms.
Labview, Matlab, or Mathematica.
