  • Summary: Sport Biomechanics Journals

    Dear subscribers,

thank you for the useful information you kindly sent me.
Here is my original plea and all the answers I received:

    Dear subscriber,

can you please help me to compile a list of Journals that
our new Library should subscribe to? I need Journals in the
field of Sport Biomechanics. We already have the Journal of
Biomechanics and the I.J. of Applied Biomechanics. Can you
suggest other titles, IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE, according to your
    personal opinion?

    Paolo de Leva

    Dear Paolo

I've read some interesting papers on sport biomechanics in
    JOURNAL OF SPORTS SCIENCES.
This is not purely a biomechanics journal, though.

In order of importance, in my opinion:

    (1) Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise (USA)

    (2) Journal of Human Movement Studies (Australia)

    (3) Journal of Sport Sciences.(Great Britain)

    Buona sera professore,
I would suggest you subscribe to Clinical Biomechanics and Journal
of Aging and Physical Activity. Many sport related issues are published
    in each of those journals.

    I would suggest
    Clinical Biomechanics
    (Elsevier Science Ltd, The Boulevard,
Langford Lane, Kidlington, Oxford OX5 1GB, UK)
but, as the Editor, I am biased! We do publish sports biomechanics
papers - with a clinical flavour obviously.
